Meadow Imprint - Mixed Media Cyanotype Mini Print

This original artwork brings together several different techniques - cyanotype, Joomchi and Monoprinting.

The first stage in creating this beautiful print is the cyanotype process, using botanicals on Japanese mulberry paper.  This delicate paper is then collaged and strengthened using the Korean paper felting technique Joomchi which creates a wonderful textured surface.  Once dry I have monoprinted delicate cow parsley flowers which leaves a distinctive botanical impression creating a striking contrast against the cyanotype blue.

Each piece is handmade and unique.  The natural fibres of the mulberry paper, Joomchi process and the hand printing of the cow parsley have created subtle variations in texture and tones.
