BLUE IMPRESSIONS - Cyanotype on Fabric

Unleash your creativity and immerse yourself in the wonders and magic of cyanotype.

This textiles printing workshop will enable you to create some beautiful artwork using UV rays, giving you the opportunity to experiment, have fun and create unique tote bag and zip pouch to take home.

We will start the session with a brief explanation of the cyanotype process and then continue with some print experimentation with various objects such as leaves and feathers on ready prepared papers. We will experiment on pre-prepared paper and fabric before moving on to coating your own tote bag and zip pouch with light sensitive cyanotype solution before creating your unique designs.

Don't worry if you're new to this - the class is designed for beginners, and you'll be guided through each step. No experience is needed, just bring your creativity and enjoy the process.

WINTER IN BLUE - CHRISTMAS CYANOTYPE

28th November 2026

Join us for a relaxed and creative festive workshop exploring the beautiful art of cyanotype, a magical photographic printing process that creates stunning images in rich Prussian blue using UV rays.

We will start the session with a brief explanation of the cyanotype process and then continue with some print experimentation.  You will discover how to create your own beautiful cyanotype artwork using a selection of seasonal botanical materials and festive shapes. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with composition and create a collection of unique pieces to take home, including beautiful Christmas cards and wooden hanging decorations.

No previous experience is needed just come along, enjoy some creative time and discover the joy of making something truly handmade for Christmas.
