I'm Emily, an artist based in the stunning rural countryside of Northumberland, where the landscape that surrounds me is at the heart of everything I create.
Cyanotype is a beautiful Victorian photographic printing process that uses UV light to produce striking, dreamy blue prints. It's one of the oldest forms of photography. There's something truly magical about bringing this historic technique into the present day.
Every piece of artwork I create begins outside. I gather flowers, leaves and botanicals from my own garden, meadow and woodland, pressing them carefully before using them to create each unique print.
No two pieces are ever the same. Each one is a little snapshot of the beautiful countryside around me.
